Programs

TIKoRO programs combine community-building activities through games, dance, and music to inspire students to bridge cultures and generational gaps. The program develops character, and artistic voice to affect change and build trust. It supports the school culture and curriculums with the arts.

Dance Programs

We offer dance residencies of 15- or 30-weeks that yield collaboration between the classroom teacher and TIKoRO teaching artist. The program integrates the arts and community-building principles that will inspire students and supports them within the school curriculum.

Drum Classes

TIKoRO drums together- From introductory vibrant rhythms to advanced serious intricate polyrhythms of the djembe from West Africa combine to add a playful and interactive community bond in our programs.

After-School Programs

TIKoRO teaching artists will lead the students into creative dance movements and build a foundation that gives access to communication and expression. This program helps participants problem-solve and inspire one another through their creative processes. It offers students to learn to trust and develop their own artistic voices through support from the community.

Workshops

In TIKoRO’s dance workshops, we explore a true meaning of cooperation, board of members, and teamwork through various creative movement exercises and community-building activities.
